Mood Submission: We collect the mood you submit (Happy, Neutral, or Sad).
IP Address and Country: We temporarily use your IP address to determine the country you are in. This is used solely to provide country-level mood data. We store the country, but the full IP address is not permanently stored with your mood entry.
Anonymous User ID: To manage submissions, we use Firebase Anonymous Authentication. This assigns a temporary, anonymous ID to your session. This ID is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information.
Timestamp: We record the time of your submission to analyze trends over time.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used exclusively for the following purposes:

To calculate and display aggregated public statistics, such as the "Global Vibe Score" and country-specific data.
To analyze mood trends over time (e.g., the 7-day chart).
To prevent spam and abuse by limiting the frequency of submissions.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use a single cookie (`moodSubmitted`) in your browser after you submit your mood. This cookie contains no personal information and is used only to prevent you from submitting another mood for one hour. This is essential for maintaining the integrity of the global data.

4. Service Workers and Notifications

If you opt-in, we use a service worker to send you a single daily notification as a reminder to share your vibe. This is an optional feature. You can subscribe or unsubscribe at any time using the bell icon on the homepage. We do not use this for any other purpose.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your information with any third parties for marketing or any other purposes. All data is used solely for the functioning of The Global Vibe website. We use Firebase (a Google service) for backend infrastructure, including anonymous authentication and data storage.

6. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children.
